The mobility of late Neolithic settled communities

This project explores rhythms of mobility and everyday life at a single location among the Late Neolithic (6th mill. BCE) communities of the Mil Plain, SW Azerbaijan. The explorations at site MPS 18 challenge the concept of ‘marginality’ implicitly attached to both the steppe environmental conditions and the mobile way of life. It also unveils site formation processes and the nature of the anthropic sequence at this site.
