Transformations in Sapiential Thought. 4Q185 in Context

The dissertation presents a new edition and tradition-historical analysis of the text preserved on the larger fragments of the severely damaged Dead Sea Scroll’s manuscript 4Q185, that so far has received marginal scholarly attention only. The edition this study offers is based on several digital resources such as the multispectral and high-resolution images provided by the Israel Antiquities Authority and the semantic and editorial resources of the Database of the “Qumran Wörterbuch Projekt” of the Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Göttingen.
